Multiple Target Localisation Using Time of Arrival Information From Multistatic Radar
نویسنده
چکیده
Time-of-arrival localisation is a technique common to a variety of sensors and scenarios, including multistatic radar. In this paper a single target localisation algorithm is presented that meets the Cramer-Rao lower bound. The issues that arise when there are multiple targets are discussed and an algorithm is introduced that successfully performs multiple target localisation. This algorithm uses only one set of measurements but is shown to be robust to significant levels of noise.

A Centralized Processing Framework for Foliage- Penetration Human Tracking in Multistatic Radar
A complete centralized processing framework is proposed for human tracking using multistatic radar in the foliage-penetration environment. The configuration of the multistatic radar system is described. Primary attention is devoted to time of arrival (TOA) estimation and target localization. An improved approach that takes the geometrical center as the TOA estimation of the human target is give...
متن کاملBi- and Multistatic Radar
Biand multistatic radar are expected to benefit from their separation of transmitter and receiver that denies receiver recognition by ARM, favours covered operation by their silent receivers, has higher detection possibilities of stealthy objects and is less vulnerable to jamming. The requirements of synchronisation in a separated transmitter-receiver system are discussed. The processing in bis...
متن کاملDetection of Multiple Targets by a Multistatic Radar
Multistatic radar systems with several transmitters and receivers introduce not only new qualities in area surveillance as well as in hardware minimization but also new problems in signal processing and target detection and tracking. This paper deals with multistatic radar system consisting of several independent bistatic radars processing signals scattered of surrounding objects. The measured ...
متن کاملA New Algorithm for the Deinterleaving of Radar Pulses
This paper presents a new algorithm for the deinterleaving of radar signals, based on the direction of arrival (DOA), carrier frequency (RF), and time of arrival (TOA). The algorithm is applied to classic (constant), jitter, staggered, and dwell switch pulse repetition interval (PRI) signals. This algorithm consists of two stages. In the first stage, a Kohonen neural network clusters the receiv...
متن کاملDOA estimation and multi-user interference in a two-radar system
Multistatic radars utilize multiple transmitter and receiver sites to provide several different monostatic and bistatic channels of observation. Multistatic passive and active radar systems can offer many advantages in terms of coverage and accuracy in the estimation of target signal parameters. Unfortunately, their performances are heavily sensitive to the position of receivers and transmitter...
